UP WILOCI has joined the Kilusang Kontra COVID (KILKOVID) Alliance for a partnership with the QC gov’t to put up a united front in the fight against COVID-19.Headed by Dr. Tony Leachon as Chairman and Atty. Dot Gancayco as President, KilKoVid is a coalition of concerned citizens and organizations which aims to complement and supplement the COVID-19 plans and strategies of the Quezon City government and help educate its residents and protect their health by reducing COVID-19 cases, but also assist in providing livelihood during this pandemic.
UP WILOCI President, Atty. Arlene Lapuz-Ureta glad to be able to attend the MOA signing today, September 17, 2020 with QC Mayor Joy Belmote and all Alliance Partners in pursuit of the strategy “To Teach, To Heal, and To Lead” towards achieving the goal of “Kaligtasan, Kalusugan at Kabuhayan”.
The Alliance Partners of KILKOVID include the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas-Quezon City Chapter (Pres. Alfredo Roxas), Rotary International District 3780 (Gov. Johnny Yu), UP Women Lawyer’s Circle Inc. (Pres. Arlene Ureta), Philippine Academy of Family Physicians-National (Pres. Marivic Cruz), Philippine Academy of Family Physicians-Quezon City Chapter (Pres. Flora Marin), Philippine College of Physicians-Quezon City Chapter (Pres. Melvin Hacutina), Urban Green Communes (Pres. Juan Carlo Tejano) and Celebrity Sports Club Inc. (GM Arturo Tibay). The alliance also has the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-QC, Quezon City Planning and Development Office and Association of Barangay Captains as guest partners.
